The Central Photographic Section caters to the photographic needs of departments and centres of the institute. The jobs include photographic coverage of most of the important functions such as convocations, farewell functions and Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations held at the institute. The section also renders assistance with technical photography, etc. to the students, research scholars and faculty members of all the departments and centres. Recently the section was modernised, and it meets all the digital high-resolution photography needs of the institute. The Central Photographic Section has contributed a large percentage of the photographs to the Heritage Centre.
